Who this session is for

If you are new to routing

You will learn what the router actually does, in plain steps, and what each stage of the flow is for. You will leave knowing the order of commands, what a healthy result looks like, and what to check before you move on. No prior routing experience is needed.

If you are experienced

You will get the reasoning behind the commands: why a clean tool report can still hide problems, why some paths stay stuck after optimization, and how to decide what to fix, what to waive and what to escalate. It is also a chance to compare your own flow with a structured one.

How it will be taught

  • Stage by stage. We follow the real flow: routing, checks, fixing violations, timing optimization, ECO and chip finish.
  • Command-first slides. Each stage shows the key commands and what they do, in simple language.
  • Worked examples. We walk through small examples on the whiteboard or screen, step by step. Numbers are illustrative.
  • Two levels in one session. Each stage starts with the basics, then goes wider with the "why" and the trade-offs.
  • Questions welcome.
